What should I expect, if I never had pest control before?

How long does it take for a treatment to take effect?

Is it normal to see an increase of pest activity, after treatment?

Will I need to vacate my home during treatment?

Most likely, no. But, it all depends upon the kind of pesky intruder we are combating and the level of infestation that you have.

Why is it important to have my house treated in a timely manner?

Honestly, many people do. In recent years, we have witnessed more people to begin doing it themselves. There are certain circumstances that we agree that doing-it-yourself is a great alternative to hiring a professional pest control company. When you see a fly, or an ant, or even a single roach that is something that can be easily handled yourself. However, if you are seeing several pesky intruders – it is time to call a professional. Having an infestation can cause damage to your home and a health risk to you and your family.

There are many products on the shelf today that consumers can purchase that are effective. however, if the roach is running faster than you are – then you know he is laughing at your can of spray!

Financial Questions

What do you charge for your services?

This is the most frequently asked question that Dispatcher Karen gets and one of the toughest questions to answer over the phone. There are several factors to consider when it comes to pricing. It depends on the type of pest we are talking about, how bad of infestation you have, and the size of premises that needs treated.

We do have a general price guide and can quote you a range over the phone. However, in order to get an accurate price, a Bug Cops Officer will need to conduct a Pest Analysis on-site.

With over 25 years of experience, we are confident that we can bust those pest for less!

Can I pay in advance?

Absolutely! When paying in advance, just notate what you are paying for and the monies will be set aside on your account just for that particular service. This is helpful when having multiple services with Bug Cops Pest Control ie… Quarterly Pest Control and Lawn and Ornamental Contract.

Pesky Pest, Turf Trespassers, and Weed Invaders

My neighbors have subterranean termites- will I get them, too?

This is a question hard to answer without a FREE Home inspection. However, if your neighbor has subterranean termites then that means the environmental conditions are ideal for them to chew on some of the wood in your foundation!

Your home could be at risk though. If your neighbor just repaired the damage or just sprayed the ground with a repellent, then the colonies will be driven to feed on your house – which isn’t good! pushed away from However, if your neighbor baited or used another method to kill the colonies then the immediate risk has decreased.

Should I pour gasoline on a yellow jacket nest?

Absolutely not, that is very dangerous!

Yellow Jackets can be found nesting in piles of wood, around trees in the landscaping or even under bushes or shrubs. Usually they are first found when doing yard work. They can become agitated with the noise of the lawn mower, weed eaters, etc.

The sting of a yellow jacket could be dangerous! Particularly for those who are allergic. It could cause analeptic shock. When they sting, they usually sting multiple times.

Are the treatments harmful to my children or pets?

All products that Bug Cops Pest Control use are registered with the EPA. When used according to the LABEL these products pose very little to no risk at all. Furthermore, all products that we use inside your home and work place are in the EPA’s lowest risk category.

What are the risk involved with living with cock roaches?

When you think about asthma and allergies, you think about season changes and tree pollens but not cockroaches!

INFESTATION OR NOT?

Cockroaches are definitely fall under the category of unwanted pesky pest. They makes themselves at home anywhere. More often than not, the first signs of cockroaches could be one scarring across the floor or walking in the kitchen at night and when flipping on the lights, you see your counter top moving. For a worse kind of infestations, you will notice roach turds and their shed skin around cracks and crevices where they hide.

 

Which Roaches Are the Troublemakers?
